The first, an aiban tate-e attributed to Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), depicting a waterscape with a figure paddling a raft, from the series Meisho Edo Hyakkei (One Hundred Famous Views of Edo), framed the second, an aiban tate-e attributed to Kawanabe Kyosai (1831-1889), depicting processions by a shrine, from the series Tokaido Meisho no Uchi (Famous Places on the Tokaido), framed.
Height x width of each frame: 21 x 16 inches (53.5 x 40.5 cm).
