Lot: 3295
The first of well-hollowed cylindrical form terminating in a ram head, one side set with a horse-head handle, cast in relief with a saddle issuing sinuous beasts, and two opposing taotie masks alternating with rectangular apertures above stepped rim the second of baluster form, with tall waisted neck flanked by a pair of pierced beast handles and incised with inscriptions, relief-decorated with chimeras against a dense key-fret ground on the body.
The first: 10 3/4 inches (27.3 cm) high.
Provenance: Property from the Richard I. Stone Estate.
Condition: Both vessels with age-related wear, patina, corrosion, small dents and nicks. The first with a chip to the foot.
