Attributed to Paul Hanong, Strasbourg.The rococo scallop-moulded tureen with cover knop formed as a putto holding open a dragons mouth the dragons right forepaw upon a snail, with two dragon-head form handles the sides painted with floral and rockworks Chinoiseries in shaped cartouches, the platter of conforming design both articles enamelled in shades of green and red, and with floral sprays.
Approximate dimensions: Tureen 14 1/2 high x 16 wide x 9 inches deep, platter 23 1/2 wide x 13 1/2 inches deep..
Condition: Some crazing. Surface marks throughout. Small chip to flange of cover.
