Pair of Chinese Cartouche Famille Jaune Porcelain Vases

The bulbous body surmounted on a gently splayed foot, sweeping up to a tall neck and wide compressed garlic-head mouth, decorated with two large cartouches on the body, one depicting rice stalks bearing grains over double quails, the other with a bird and various flowers including pomegranate and peony blossoms, two rectangular reserves on the neck, all against a yellow ground covered with a key-fret pattern, interrupted by shou symbols and cranes, brocade pattern with four roundels enclosing auspicious items around the foot, six-character Qianlong mark in underglaze blue to the base.
Height: 14 1/2 inches (36.8 cm) each.
