Mennecy Attributed Soft Paste Porcelain Magyar Figure

Circa 1760.
Modelled as a gardener, leaning against a tree trunk, wearing an Astrakhan lamb hat, bags to either side of waist, short knife in right hand, left hand tucked into bag. Black apron over yellow trousers, above puce and yellow shoes, with sparse grasses to squared base.
Incised DV to underside painted V over W to rear, near base.
Approximate dimensions: 6 3/8 H. x 1 1/2 W. x 1 5/8 D..
Provenance: Historic Filoli Estate, Woodside, CA.
Condition: Head broken off and professionally glued back on to body at neck, overpainted. Knife and sprig to right side at waist broken off and rebuilt 2 L. crawling hairline crack to tree stump, from about 1/3 down the stump to the lower edge. Wear to glaze of white coat repainted.
