Circa 1890.
The wide neck with slightly flared rim, on a high shoulder tapering to the waisted round base, the neck and base decorated with gilt chinoiserie motif on a cobalt blue ground the body with blue painted flowers and insects on a white ground with brushed gilt accents on a later Chinese style wood stand.
Brown underglaze mark to the underside crown over DOULTON BURSLEM mark.
Approximate dimensions without stand: 24 high x 16 inches diameter..
Condition: Hairline crack visible to the underside, not visible from the bottom. Some rubbing to gilt. Crazing.
