CESARE LAURENTI (Italian 1854-1936) Portrait of a Woman with Venice in background Oil on canvas. 38 x 26 inches Frame 44 x 32 inches. Signed lower left C. Laurenti. CONDITION In overall good condition. The canvas has been relined. When examined under black light there is significant in painting throughout the canvas, most notably in the sky upper right and around her hand holding the flower, in the water by the dock and in her shawl over her shoulder the back of her dress also shows in painting as well. This work would benefit from being cleaned and restored.
