Decorated in feathers, textile, brown seeds, 2 boar tusks, a hand carved bone nose ring, rattan, shell, clay, pigments, and woven fiber the crown is wrapped in a traditional Asmat headdress textile band decorated in an array of doubled white and brown feathered drops the forehead is encircled by inlaid cowry shells with a circular hand cut shell in their middle flanked by cowry shells on each side at the top, above the center of the forehead smaller cowry shells are inlaid, 6 over each eyebrow each eye is inlaid with a large cowry shell each temple has a black pigmented circle the bottom lip, under the hand carved bone nose ring, is highlighted in black pigment modified black metal display stand is included in this lot.
