etching (2nd state there are only two impressions of the first state known)
sheet: 10.75 x 9 inches overall with frame: 18 x 15.75 inches,
Latin annotated below the image in the margin with faint stamp lower right.
Provenance: From the Thumesnil and Marshall Collections Wh. Wunderlich Rare Prints Gallery New York, NY label verso.
Condition: In overall good condition, overall a very rich impression with minor discoloration within the chest and within the margins. There are no tears to the sheet or areas of missing paper. Minor foxing visible on the sheet verso which can be slightly seen on the front of the paper, mainly in the right arm of Christ. The sheet is not laid down but is hinged with two pieces of tape at the top, collectors stamp lower right corner verso with ink coming through to the front of the sheet.
