African Applique Multi Media Narrative Quilt

Late 20th Century.
Astonishingly complex forty square quilt top, black frame, with green cotton to all of the squares. Each square containing pieced figures, some structures, characters carrying fruit in baskets on heads foliage, the story unravels from upper left across and down, to lower right, as a scene of people at market farming gardening, and ten featuring orange huts with pointed rooves.
Approximate dimensions: 57 1/2 x 92..
Very good condition, a few loose threads, minor dirt and dust. 1 1/2 tear at edge, to one corner.
