HANS BALUSCHEK (German, 1870-1935), ''Fruhling'' 1911, oil on canvas, canvas: 56.75 x 36.5 inches, framed: 68 x 47.75 inches, signed on the bottom. Provenance: This painting came from Dr. Bernherd Berliner from Berlin Germany when he moved his family to San Francisco in 1936. In 1939 Dr. Berliner built a house in San Francisco. This painting has hung in the same house in San Francisco, CA since 1939. By familial descent to current owner, Dr. Berliner’s daughter. There is a written letter between the artist and Dr. Bernherd Berliner. dated 1929 and I believe it also notes that the work was purchased in Berlin, Germany. If the winner would like the current owner will make a copy of this letter between the artist and Dr. Bernherd Berliner. Condition: Good condition. It has minor surface dirt/dust, otherwise no other visible issues apparent. No in-painting. Not an area that fluoresced under UV/Blacklight.
