The flaring bodies with foliate scroll terminates, on shaped rectangular stands with scroll feet. Medium blue ground, with gilt floral sprays throughout, painted in polychrome enamels with fine bouquets in shaped cartouches. Both marked in underglaze blue J.P. with various dots. Approximate dimensions: 10 H. x 8 1/2 W. x 6 D. . Provenance: As sold to consignors by Mervin G. Morais Antiques, New Orleans, LA. Mr. Morais started dealing in New Orleans as early as the 40s and as late as the 1960s. Condition: The pair of cornucopia are in remarkably good condition, with minor wear to gilding minor scratching and wear typical of items of this age.

The thickly potted conical body rising to a shallow groove at the mouth, covered overall with an iridescent black glaze with silvery oil spots striations, the glaze falling short of the foot to reveal the dark brown stoneware body, the rim bound in a silver band. Diameter 5 inches (12.7 cm). Condition: Some wear.
A Conical Jian Ware, Black Glazed Butterfly Tea Bowl
The deep flaring sides rising from a short straight foot, the exterior covered overall in matt black glaze stuffed with mottled gray spots, the interior decorated with five polka dot butterflies on brownish-gray glaze thinning to orange at the rim, the foot ring unglazed revealing the ivory-orange body. Diameter 6 1/8 inches (15.5 cm).
Of shallow rounded sides molded with slender fluted petals with pointed tips, covered overall with a rich coral-red glaze simulating cinnabar, the center with a gilt calligraphy inscriptions, the base with an impressed Qianlong seal mark. Diameter 6 inches (15.2 cm).
The rounded body supported on three ruyi-shaped legs, decorated with a band of raised studs below the incurved rim and around the foot, exterior covered in a speckled purple-blue glaze thinning to mushroom tone around the rim and studs, the base covered in a dark brown wash and incised with inscriptions within a ring of spur marks. Diameter 9.6 inches (24.3 cm).
Well potted with thick floral rim, rising from three short ruyi foot, the wall covered with red and plum glaze, the interior with mottled light blue thinning to yellow at the edge, the foot and bottom colored in brown glaze, engraved a Chinese character Liu (Six) surrounded by six dots. Width 7 3/4 inches (19.6 cm).
Each deep rounded sides with flared rim, the exterior decorated with patterns of gilded shou characters between dark green enameled ruyi band around the rim and lappet band at the foot, the base incised with a four-character makers mark. Diameter 4.6 inches (11.6 cm). Condition: Minor wear.
The ovoid body rising to a tapered neck with a gallery mouth rim, applied with concentric raised bands simulating bamboo, covered overall with a lustrous purple glaze mottled with creamy lavender streaks suffused with a network offine crackles, the base incised with a Yongzheng mark, fitted with a gilt-bronze stand. Height 9 inches (22.8 cm).
Of classic pear-shaped body with a tall slender neck, covered overall with a deep red glaze suffused with lavender and violet streaks, the glaze thinning to mushroom color around the rim, the base incised with a Qianlong seal mark, fitted with a gilt-bronze stand. Height 13.5 inches (34.2 cm). Condition: Minor hairlines on the glaze.
Including a blue and white double lidded jar with handles, a baluster figural vase, and a Kangxi style Famille rose wine pot with a Shou design. Tallest: Height 9 inches (22.8 cm). Conditon: The vase has minor chip on the rim.

Comprising: A blue and white foliated dish with deers and floral design, a revised blue and white dish of dragons and clouds motif, a ribbed blue and white jar of floral roundels and bands a small blue and white conical bowl, depicting seven sages in bamboo grove scene, four-character Yong Le Nie Zhi mark inscribed to the center of the bowl and a gilt and painted bowl with black ship decoration. Tallest: Height 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm). Condition: Age related surface marks, nicks, chips and hairlines.
Of archaistic gu vase with hexagonal sides, the central section supported on a splayed foot and surmounted with a trumpet neck with a barbed rim, the body decorated all over with stylized Shou characters, the base inscribed with a six-character mark. Height 12.8 inches (32.5 cm).
Of elegant ovoid body surmounted with a tall neck with a flared rim, painted in rich blue enamel with ascholar and his attendant in an outdoor setting amid landscape rocks and gnarled tree, one side inscribed with a poem, base with a four-character mark within a double square. Height 10 3/4 inches (27.3 cm).
The cylindrical body tapering toward the foot, surmounted with a columnar neck with a flared rim, painted to the exterior in rich cobalt-blue tone two elephants and attendants, one side inscribed with a poem, the base with a four-character mark. Height 10 1/2 inches (26.6 cm).
Chinese Hexagonal Blue and White Meiping Peony Vase
Of slender hexagonal form, the mid-section decorated with two phoenixes in flight amongst flowering scrolls, between bands of shaped panels, the neck with a double tier of scrolling floral stems. Height 16 3/4 inches (42.5 cm). Condition: Some glaze losses.
Of exceptional Rouleau form, painted with variable blue-hues, the body depicting ten female figural in a garden scene, the neck decorated with a ruyi band, key fret and a geometric design, the bottom inscribed with six characters apocryphal Kangxi mark in underglaze blue. Height 18 inches (45.7 cm). Condition: A chip in the rim, some wear.
Of classic pear-shaped body with a waisted neck and flared mouth, carved in relief with a pair phoenix among ruyi cloud scrolls on a pale bluish ground, all between blue reserved bands of leafy meandering scrolls on the neck and lappets encircle the foot, base with an inscription written in underglaze blue. Height 12.5 inches (31.7 cm). Condition: Minor manufacturing imperfections.
Chinese Famille Rose Butterfly Bowl and a Red Plate
The first, a polychrome-shaped butterfly bowl with turquoise glaze interior, the base inscribed with an apocryphal Tongzhi mark the second, a cinnabar style rectangular tray, carved and molded to depict two dragons chasing a flaming pearl. Red Plate: H 1 3/4 x W 12 1/4 x D 7 5/8 inches (4.4 x 31.1 x 19.3 cm) Butterfly Bowl: H 2 1/2 x W 7 x W 4 3/4 inches (6.3 x 17.7 x 12 cm). Condition: The butterfly bowl with hairlines.
The dishes are from Republic period, early 20th Century. Comprising two similar foot dishes with gilt rims, each decorated with birds perched on the flowering trees and with inscriptions and artist signatures, and a three-section porcelain incense burner. Tallest: Height 14 inches (35.5 cm).
Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Cabbage Bowl on Base
Painted to the interior and exterior with a butterfly and cabbage leaf design, within floral borders, with a fitted wooden base. H 8 3/8 x W 16 inches (21.2 x 40.6 cm). Condition: Some gilt loss throughout.
The compressed globular body rising to a tall neck with flared mouth, decorated with a gnarled peachtree with extending branches bearing ripen fruits and pink blossoms, all between bands of ruyi-heads on shoulder and foot, the neck covered with leafy lotus scrolls reserved on a yellow ground, the base inscribed with a six-character mark in iron-red. Height 11.5 inches (29.2 cm). Condition: Minor gilt losses.
Circa: 20th Century. The large baluster form body brilliantly enameled to depict five songbirds perched on flowering trees and bamboo breaches near rocky outcrop, inscribed on the reverse, signed with two artist red seals (Cheng Yiting, 1895-1948), the recessed base inscribed with a three-character mark in copper red glaze, reading: Pei Gu Zhai. Height: 27 inches (68.5 cm).
Possibly Transitional period (1620-1683) Well potted, the body decorated with colorful dragons, peacocks within lotus scrolls, crashing waves, and floral bands, six-character Wanli mark on bottom of the rim. Height 18 inches (45.7 cm).
Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Baluster Vase with Base
Circa: 20th Century. The pear shape body applied with two elephant head handles to the shoulders, enameled to each side with a rectangular panel containing river and mountain landscapes, between two smaller circular panels of similar design, reserved on a pink ground enriched with banana leaves and ruyi-head pendant bands and floral roundels, atop at fitted wood base. Height 19 5/8 inches (49.8 cm) with base.
The tall cylindrical body with two large shaped cartouches closing birds and peonies scenes,decoration, all reserved on a bright orange ground highlighted with gilt outlines. Height 24 3/4 inches (62.5cm). Condition: Minor surface wear, light paint losses.
Chinese Famille Rose Enamelled Bird and Flower Vase
Finely potted, a globular body connected to a cylindrical neck, brightly enameled with birds perched on flowering trees branches among blooming peonies, all reserves on a blue ground, six-Character apocryphal Yongzheng underglaze blue mark inscribed in a double-lined circle to the recessed base. Height 13 1/4 inches (33.6 cm).
Painted with large panels of a bird perched within flowering branches, all reserved on a green whorl ground surrounded by scrolling foliage and stylized flowerheads, with fitted wood base. Height 18 1/2 inches (46.9 cm) with base.
The globular body raising on a separate waisted pedestal base, painted in brightly hued famille rose enamels to depict two maidens reading by the table set in a lavish studio, the revised side with poetic inscription. Height 12 inches (30.4 cm) with base. Condition: A chip on the bottom rim.

The censer of inverted bell form resting on four elephant-head supports and cast to either side with archaistic handles, the base with a four-character cartouche reading Wu Bang Zuo Zhi. Height: 4 3/4 inches (12 cm).
A Chinese Bronze Alloy Archaistic Wine Vessel Jue Cup
Cast with registers of taotie masks, and their bodies are formed of scrolls and parallel wing motifs, supported on three tapered blade legs. Height 8 1/4 inches (20.9 cm). Condition: Oxidation and patina, age weathered surfaces.
A Chinese Gilt Bronze and Copper Alloy Figure of Buddha
Modeled seated in dhyanasana atop a lotus throne, the hands in bhumisparsha mudra, attired in layered robes detailed with draping folds and incised floral hems, loosely open at the bare chest, the face with downcast eyes and meditative expression beneath the ushnisha formed with tightly coiled curls. Height: 10 1/8 inches (25.7 cm). Condition: Wear to surfaces, repairs, losses to the ears.
Qing Dynasty. Reclining dragon on a rectangular platform with cloven hooves and head turned to look back, intricately molded hair form patterns along the spine, crest, and end of the tail, a six-character Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi mark on base. Width 7 inches (17.7 cm).
Late 19th or early 20th century. Finely tailored with a central opening, embroidered in couched gilt and polychrome threads with satin stitches and forbidden stitches, displaying roundels containing graceful flower branches, butterflies, foliated borders, and sleeve bands on ivory and blue satin ground, lined. Length: 51 inches (129.5 cm). Condition: Some fraying and fuzz.
Worked on the front and back in couched gold thread, satin stitch with nine powerful five-clawed dragons clutching or pursuing flaming pearls amidst bats, terrestrial diagrams, and other auspicious symbols, all above rolling waves and Lishui stripe at the hem, lined with blue silk. Length: 59 inches (150 cm).
Late 19th to early 20th Century. The first, a cream ground skirt, the front and side panels elaborately embroidered in couched gilt threads and silk floss with flower vases, bonsai tree, incense burner and precious objects, lined with embroidered foliated bands and borders, the skirt panels embroidered with further floral decoration separated with black strips the second, a green ground skirt with two finely embroidered peony and floral panels, the bright red silk brocade woven with large peony flowers, lined with green-blue butterflies and floral decorated ribbons and black satin bands. Length: 36 inches (29.5 cm). Condition: Age related losses, fade and soil.
Carved openwork with gilt coloring, military or civilian figures are standing and sitting inside pavilions, all reserved on a trellis-diaper ground, each fitted in lucite cases. Size of frame: 35.5 x 22.5 inches (90.1 x 57.1 cm).
Four Panel Chinese Coromandel Black Lacquer Screen
Each panel is finely embellished with colored soapstone and semiprecious stone, depicting various flower vases and precious objects, all reserved on black lacquer ground, the borders with mother of pearl inlaid, the reverse incised and painted with birds and flowers. Each panel: H 72 x W 16 1/8 inches (182.8 x 40.9 cm).
Painted with a hawk in a slightly mirror image, both sitted on a plum tree and pine tree and gaze at each other, with two seals on each side. Opened: H 53 1/2 x W 46 3/4 inches (135.8 x 118.7 cm). Condition: Water damaged.
The unique Chinese rosewood rounded corner desk with two matching stools, all side panels similarly carved in relief with Shou longevity roundel and key-fret motif. Dimension of the desk: 35 5/8 inches (91 cm) x 29 1/2 inches (75.5 cm) x 21 1/2 inches (54.5cm).
Comprising three red satin silk fan holders and three black satin silk fan holders, each embroidered with floral, archaistic coin, and double gourd motif, frame and glazed. The first, ink on paper calligraphy fan painting by an unknown artist, in the regular scriptsigned: Zhu Fu Qing, Framed and glazed the second, ink and color on paper fan painting Lotus, in the style of Ren Yi (1840-1895) also known as Ren Bonian, dedicated to Xiao Xiang. Inscribed and dated with one artist seal, framed and glazed. Width of the largest fan painting: 20 3/4 inches (52.5 cm).
