Circa 1890.
Carved antler handle accented with dyed red hair bone termination on the bottom tip of the hand carved wooden scabbard rattan woven waist strap with rattan weaving on the hilt decorated in red, blue and yellow glass trade beads and a hand carved bone central pendent attached to the sheath by 2 tiny metal inserts over animal hide directly below the first woven rattan at the top of the sheath.

German Porcelain Plaque Depicting Poesie Signed Wagner

Dresden, Germany.
Circa 1890.
The rounded rectangular plaque painted in polychrome enamels with a young woman, facing sinister, her long auburn hair decorated with a semi-wreath of lily of the valley, a Grecian-style translucent robe just covering her left nipple, and over her right shoulder.
Signed, to the lower left corner Wagner underlined. The back impressed 107 and MP in a roundel, also in iron-red enamel Poesie. and 107.
4 W. x 5 7/8 H. the plaque. Mounted on pink suede and under glass in a wood frame. 9 x 10 3/4.
Light scratches toward the top edge, probably due to framing.
