Famille Rose Porcelain Children at Play Green Ground Moon Flask Vase
The shoulders flanked by double dragon handles, each side with a large roundel enclosing a different scene of boys playing in a garden setting, all reserved on a pale green ground embellished with scrolling veins and various flowers, the neck and sides with similar designs of a stylized bat with a ruyi head facing lotus bloom, six-character Qianlong mark in underglaze red to the base. Height: 17 1/2 inches (44.5 cm). Condition: Some glaze loss to the neck.
Famille Rose Yellow Ground Longevity Moon Flask Vase
The shoulders applied with double chi dragon handles, the body decorated to one side with a large roundel depicting the Star God Luxing, a maiden, and two young attendants with a crane under a pine tree, the other side with the Shouxing, the Daoist goddess Magu, and two boys carrying a large peach, all reserved on a pale yellow ground embellished with colorful scrolls and various flowers, the neck with a band of ruyi pendants, the base with a six-character Qianlong mark in underglaze red. Height: 15 inches (38 cm).
With deeply curved sides and a wide everted rim, supported on a tapered foot, molded to the interior bottom with two fish, decorated around the exterior with upright leaf lappets, covered overall in a grayish-green glaze ending at the foot ring to expose the warm brown body. Diameter: 5 1/2 inches (14 cm).
The bulbous body rising to an everted rim with eight out-turned lobes, applied with eight raised bosses, covered overall in a finely crackled glaze of pale grayish-blue color thinning to a mushroom tone at the rim, the unglazed foot ring has burnt grayish-orange in the firing. Width: 5 inches (13 cm).
Of pear shape, rising from a tall splayed foot to a cupped mouth, decorated around the body with a continuous courtly figural scene in a garden setting beneath a band of ruyi pendants, the neck with two polychrome birds in flight amidst clouds, the foot with scrolling vines issuing colorful lingzhi mushrooms above upright lappets, the base bearing a six-character Chenghua mark within two concentric bands. Height: 9 1/2 inches (24 cm).
Chinese Blue and White Baluster Vase with Tube Handles
The wide waisted neck flanked by a pair of tube handles and surmounted on a tapered body decorated with meandering tendrils issuing various flowers above a band of crashing waves which repeats around the mouth, the shoulder further encircled by a similar floral pattern and wave border above a band of lingzhi heads, the base with a six-character Qianlong mark in underglaze blue. Height: 12 3/4 inches (32.5 cm).
Of baluster form, supported on a short tapered foot and sweeping up to a rolled rim, decorated with two roosters before a rock issuing peony branches under a gnarled tree and a four-character inscription, dated and signed with two seals. Height: 12 inches (30.5 cm).
The first, the ovoid body set with a curved spout opposing a loop handle, one main side inscribed with a six-verse poem, the other side decorated with a pair of pheasants and peony blooms, all below key-fret bands incised around the neck and cover, the domed cover surmounted by a conical finial with a lateral aperture, the base with an impressed six-character zhuanshu seal the second, the four faceted sides with bracket-lobed corners applied with a faceted spout and loop handle, the upper side with four circular holes filled with orbs and surrounding a fitted marbleized cover with a mythical beast finial, the base bearing a four-character potters mark reading Lu Yao Chen Zhi. Height of the first: 5 3/4 inches (14.5 cm).
The deep flaring sides with a scalloped rim, decorated to the exterior with peony branches and parcel-gilt flowers, four-character Daoguang mark in red to the base. Height: 3 3/8 inches (8.5 cm).
Sturdily potted with shallow rounded sides molded as four petals rising to an everted bracket-lobed rim and surmounted on a tall splayed foot, the exterior walls decorated with floral sprays and butterflies, the interior covered with an emerald-green glaze, the underside bearing a four-character square mark. Width: 9 3/4 inches (24.5 cm). Condition: Some wear and original firing flaws to the interior and recessed base.
