Brighten your outlook and feather your nest with great finds from Michaan’s! Offered for online and absentee bidding only, Michaan’s May Gallery Auction brings you Louis Icart’s glamorous Art Deco etchings, fine Chinese porcelains, estate diamonds and rare books of the Old West. M.C. Escher and Peter Max are among the featured artists. Fine art works by American women are highlighted, including the innovative woodcuts of Bertha Lum (1869-1954). Chinese porcelains include the lustrous jade green Lung Chu’an vase, the black Ding ware Yuhuchun vase and a selection of fine blue and white pieces. May’s estate jewels include the gorgeous solitaire diamond ring of nearly three carats and the stunning white gold bib necklace dripping with fine diamonds. A collection of two MidCentury sterling bracelets by Georg Jensen & Wendel is a highlight. Colored gemstones, fine gold, lovely period jewelry and a superbly carved jadeite jade pendant are offered. Among the many wonderful decorative art finds are the grand Rococo Revival carved wood wall mirror and the vintage mixed metal hanging parrot sculpture. The E. Howard banjo wall clock is an American classic.
