Cereal bowls - Three in very good condition, the remainder with crazing, some quite heavily crazed and with stains. Dessert plates: One in very good condition, the remainder crazed, and five with rim chips. Some with dripping glaze, Y-cracks and staining. Side dishes: Four in very good condition, the remainder with crazing, Y-cracks, stains, etc. Two of those with chips. Teacups: Three in very good condition, most with light glaze cracks or hairline cracks, some with heavier hairline cracks and with light staining. Saucers - two in very good condition, the remainder with light and heavier cracks, several with sparse chips and lightly stained. Egg cups, Two in very good condition, two with crazing and one of those with several shallow rim chips. Serving articles all in very good condition with light crazing.
Staffordshire, England. Circa 1850 - 1870. Comprising: soup tureen, cover and underplate two vegetable tureens and covers sauce tureen, cover and underplate, three platters in two sizes, a rim soup plate, and twelve dinner plates. The handles and covers in the form of entwined porpoises with gilt scales and beards, the tureens all of scalloped and lobed round form, the platters with scalloped rims. All painted in iron-red, gold and blue with Imari pattern. Many items with Ashworths marks impressed, and Masons transfer-printed marks in purple or green. Approximate dimensions: The soup tureen 12 3/4 H. x 13 1/2 W. x 12 1/2 D. The stand 2 1/4 H. x 15 W. x 12 1/2 D. Largest platter 1 5/8 H. x 15 W. x 12 1/2 D. The dinner plates 10 1/2 Diameter.. Condition: Overall condition is very good, with minor crazing to glaze, typical of the wear, gilding and enamel wear. On the edges to most of the pieces, the lustered orange border shows extensive wear. Gilt to handles worn to one tureen. Minor splotches of underglaze blue to undersides. Notes: The pattern is known as Imperial Rich Ruby, and numbered 4/10, according to the Transferware Collectors Club data base, and is interchangeable with Masons Ironstone China pattern 9872.
Staffordshire, England. Circa 1835 - 1850. Including Green Mandarin pattern well and tree platter, pair of blue ground Imari jugs, a pair of iron-red scale Chinoiserie Hydra handle jugs a blue ground Imari pattern jug with Hydra handle and two more Chinoiserie jugs, Boy in the Door of Chinese of Rank pattern. Four of the jugs with black transfer-printed Masons marks. Approximate dimensions: The platter 2 1/2 H. x 20 1/2 W. x 16 D. The jugs 6 1/4 H. to 8 H. overall.. Condition: The platter in good condition but for some wear to enamels. One pie-shaped section of a red-scale jug in pair with 1 1/2 loss to rim. Handle broken off and glued back to body on red-scale single jug. Restoration to enamel and extensive gilding loss to both handles to pair of Imari jugs. All items with some wear to surfaces, minor scratches to surfaces, and gilt losses.
Eleven Dresden Porcelain Cabinet Plates by R. Wehsener
Circa 1915-1925. In Vienna Style. Each molded with scalloped border, the rims and wells extensively decorated with raised, rouletted gilt foliate designs, with faux gems and pearls in pastel hued enamels, the faces with raised paste gilt miter pretiosa held aloft by two clawed forearms, above the motto, MALGRE TOUT. Each with black script identification to underside, and blue R. WEHSENER./DRESDEN marks. Appproximate dimensions: 8 5/8 Diameter.. Condition: The overall condition is very good. Minimal wear and scratching to surfaces. Each with minor scattered black dots of kiln frit. One dish has a slightly different resonance than the others, but the flaw is not visible to the eye.
Twelve R. Wehsener Dresden Porcelain Cabinet Cup Sets
Circa 1920. Molded as footed, two-handled cups and saucers, each decorated with gilt wash and mercury gilt interior bowls, the exteriors and the saucers decorated with gilt and raised stencilled gilt paste foliate motifs, under a wide band of gilt beads. The cup covers of raised domed form, each with a mercury gilt inverted acorn knop, over gilt decoration to match the saucers and cups, and each with a finely painted polychrome enamel named portrait bust after an Old Master painting or Classical myth, within an ovular cartouche to one side. The cups and and saucers each with blue R. WEHSENER./DRESDEN. painted to underside. The covers with script name of bust in cartouche painted in black enamel. Approximate dimensions: 5 1/2 H., the cups and covers 5 3/4 H. including saucers. 5 7/8 W., including handles. 5 3/4 Diameter, the saucers.. Condition: Overall, the condition is very good. Some wear and scratching to gilding. Some of the cups have impressions to the bowl interior from the handles, due to thin walls during firing. Minimal scratches to polychrome enamels. One cup cover has a 3/8 shallow rim chip to the flange, overpainted with gilding. Each with minor scattered black dots of kiln frit. Light scratches to gold surfaces. Several of the cups have irregular banding to the mercury band to cup interior rims.
Burslem, Staffordshire, England. Circa 1930. The ovoidal vase with flared neck and foot, painted in warm tones with highland cattle in marshes, amid flying gulls, with trees to sides. Green transfer-printed mark of lion over crown, over ROYAL DOULTON /ENGLAND MARKS, the footrim impressed IVORY, 0 7 419. and 1627200. Approximate dimensions: 12 1/2 H.. Condition Overall condition is very good, with light crazing to the glaze consistent with age and factory. a 1 3/8 long section of the foot has not been glazed with the dark brown enamel and glaze. Harry Morrey worked as decorative painter with the Doulton firm from 1884-1944.
Comprising conductor, violin, clarinet, French horn, drum, bagpipe, and trumpet also with cello, possibly Carl Schneider. Markings to undersides. Approximate dimensions overall: 4 1/4 - 7 high.. Condition: Minor wear to undersides. Some very small spots of rubbing to paint and gilt. French horn with textured mark to gilt. Repair to bow of cello player and significant rubbing to paint.
Mid 19th Century and later. One pair of Neoclassical Wedgwood Jasper pottery and cut glass cylindrical candlesticks, with gilt brass mounts and suspended drops, and one pair of two light sconces, with Jasperware roundels and gilt brass and bronze backs and arms. The blue pottery with white slip, decorated with dancing classical maidens, possibly the muses, the sconces with Andromache, and Britannia mourning over urns in roundels. The lusters marked near muse carrying a wreath, toward base, impressed WEDGWOOD. Approximate dimensions: The lusters 13 H. The sconces 7 5/8 H. x 13 W. x 7 5/8 D.. Condition Minor chips to crystal, wear, patination, and scratches to surfaces.
Bronze base, green glass dome shade. The lamp underside with TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 445 the shade interior rim with TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK. Approximate dimensions: 17 3/4 high x 10 diameter.. Condition: Shade looks to have been cleaned which has altered the glass from its original state. Patina to the base has also been cleaned. Rewired mid 20th century.
Three Montblanc Pens Incl Meisterstuck Fountain Pen
Late 20th Century. The Meisterstuck and Diplomat model fountain pens both with with a model 4810 14K 585 gold nibs, the third a ball point pen with replaceable cartridge. This lot includes an instruction manual, guarantee booklet and warranty card dated 1986. Approximate dimensions: The Meisterstuck 5 15/16 L, the others 5 1/2 L.. Condition: All three pens are in very good condition, with almost no signs of usage. A few scattered, light scratches.

Circa 1922. Hammered copper round bowl with bronze eucalyptus leaf and metalized seed pods. The underside with OLD MISSION KOPPER KRAFT SAN FRANCISCO incised mark. Approximate dimensions: 2 1/2 high x 8 3/4 diameter.. Condition: Patina and some surface wear. Loss to one seed pod, another with loss to metalized finish. Leaf mount is slightly loose.
