18th Century Sevres Blue Ground Ecuelle, Cover Stand

1774
The round ecuelle with white and gilt entwined twig-form handles to sides a lightly-domed cover, the knop of which is also entwined white and gold twigs, and the oval stand in third size. The blue ground painted in the hue called Bleu Nouveau, a bright royal blue color. Painted in polychrome enamels with gilt bands and dentil border, over reserved scenes of children playing, fishing, etc.
Impressed marks, blue interlaceds Ls, date letter V, with monograms four Chabry and Boulanger.
From a Bay Area private collection. Previously, as purchased from Christies in Paris, Collection of Emilio Terry, September 14, 2016.
Condition: Very good overall condition one of the leaf terminates to a handle was not properly molded at the factory, and this has been overglazed, thus considered as manufactured. Light wear.
