The second, an unframed Northern Irish needlework sampler, wool on linen. Strawberry and vine border enclosing three alphabets and band of loops surrounding numerals 1 - 10. Over the poem: Were half the words thats vainly spent / To Heaven in suplication sent / Our cheerfull song would oftner be / Hear what the Lord hath done for me / Prayer makes the darkened cloud withdraw / Prayer climbs the ladder Jacob saw/ Gives exercise to faith and love / Brings every blessing from above.
