Circa 1910.
Painted in red and green, with a foliate motif. Two panels painted along the top, and two coffered panels to the front of the chest. The two side panels are painted blue. The lid interior is painted white and reads Szkej Ilon 1910. Iron hardware including locking mechanism, hinges, and handles.
O.P.C.N. stamp to the back.
Approximate dimensions: 30 high x 50 wide x 22 1/4 inches deep..
Condition: Minor splits to the top. Minor wear to the painted finish overall, with some surface damage but few losses. General signs of wear such as scuffs and chips.

Top right corner is partially torn due to handling and improper framing. Areas of abrasions to the paint along where it sits in the frame. Minor areas of missing paint along the bottom right corner in the shoreline in the sky in the upper right quadrant next to the tower in the background. Surface soiling throughout piece would benefit from being cleaned and properly framed. was not examined under black light.
