Paris, France.
Circa 1815.
Empire design, equestrian interest, early 19th Century. Comprising coffee pot creamer, domed sugar, five coffee cup and saucer sets four additional saucers and seven additional cups.

The elongated coffee pot with a gilt horse-head spout on a shaped neck, the handle with low relief gilt mask-head terminate the terminate of the creamer handle a gilt horse-head in low relief the faux handles to the sugar bowl body also modelled in low relief as gilt horse heads. serving pieces painted with gilt bands, anthemia and scrolls, all articles with polychrome painted figures in landscapes.
Underglaze blue crossed batons with double arrows to undersides of all articles.
Approximate dimensions: 12 inches high, the coffee pot overall..
Locr, Locr et oussinger, trading 1796-1820, and thence in various partnerships.
Condition: One of the self lug-nuts to the flange of the coffee pot lid is broken off and absent Brass chain usually attached between cover and handle is now attached to cover only. three cups and four saucers chipped some restored, some reglued, and or/ with hairline cracks. The overall decoration is in wonderful, bright condition, with little to no gilding wear.

The sheet is not laid down but is hinged along the top visible mat burn around the whole image along the plate mark. There are no visible abrasions or areas of paper loss to the sheet or image.

Good, some of the cobalt has spilled, and there is a firing bruise where the pitcher made contact with another in the kiln. 1 long chip to handle, lower right.
